ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD

MINUTES OF MEETING OF MARCH 3, 2005

CALL MEETING TO ORDER:

Mrs. Moots called the meeting to order at 12:02 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  December 2, 2004

Mrs. Nuspl made a motion to approve the minutes as presented.  Mr. Draughn seconded the motion.  Voice vote was unanimous.

CITIZEN COMMENTS:  None

AGENDA ITEMS:

1.       To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a new identification sign, painting of trim and window boxes, for Primitives & Porcelain, located at 118 North Main Street; filed by Keli Oberst.

Applicant gave the board a rendering of the canopy.  She stated the letters would be larger than they initially stated on the application.  When the sign company was looking at the dimensions the original sized lettering got lost on the canopy.  The capital letters will now be 15” in height and all remaining letters will be 8”.

Mrs. Nuspl asked what trim was going to be painted?  The applicant stated it would be the trim around the windows and it would be in the same color as the lettering on the canopy.

Mrs. Nuspl made a motion to approve the painting of the trim, the addition of the window boxes and the signage with the larger lettering contingent upon the zoning inspector approving the overall square footage of the sign.  Mr. Draughn seconded the motion.
