COMMENTS BY CITIZENS:  None.

NEW BUSINESS

·        Landscape PlanHolbrook & Manter 103 Professional Parkway – filed by Karen  Page

The checklist received from Blake Rafeld was reviewed with the following noted:

·        Two Serviceberries on London Avenue not needed – Japanese Lilacs already planted

·        Street trees on Professional Parkway should be Autumn Blaze as previously approved for this subdivision

·        3’ mounding appears to be adequate – taxus should satisfy requirement

·        No line of sight issue – however, line of sight triangle is required to be between two feet and seven feet

·        14 trees adequate – nine trees required.  (Blake did not count the evergreens; Shade Tree Commission has allowed evergreens in past)

·        White Spruce evergreens should be 5-7’ (not 3-4’)

Mr. DeWeese made a motion to approve the landscape plan with the above corrections; voice vote was unanimous.  Landscape plan to be revised and resubmitted for approval.

·        Landscape Plan  - Nuckles Sehnert Insurance, 123 Professional Parkway – filed by Karen Page

The checklist received from Blake Rafeld was reviewed with the following noted:

·        Serviceberry and Amur Maple trees required to be 1 ¾” (not 1 ½”)

·        No line of sight issue – however, line of sight triangle is required to be between two feet and seven feet

·        Move white pines shown at the southwest corner – one to east, one to north

·        #21- More than 8 trees are shown (12 are actually shown)

·        #24 – When change Serviceberry and Amur Maple trees to 1 ¾”, the # of trees will be sufficient

Mr. Adler made a motion to approve the landscape plan with the above corrections; voice vote was unanimous.  Landscape plan to be revised and resubmitted for approval.

·        Revised Landscape Plan  - Nelson Lamborghini Dealership – Watkins Road- filed by Greg Nelson

Discussion was held concerning the type of tree that was discussed at the June meeting for the interior vehicular use areas.  Commission members concurred the Japanese Silk Lilacs and not the honey locust would be more appropriate – they would work better in keeping birds away.  It was determined that 9 fruitless flowering crabapples, such as coral burst, and 12 Ivory Silk Lilacs for the interior trees would be appropriate.  It was noted Ivory Silk Lilacs are ok for all trees for the interior – do not use fruit bearing crabapples.  Landscape plan to be revised and resubmitted for approval.

OTHER:

Discussion held concerning policy for accepting trees planted on property, away from vehicular use areas, and if accepts the trees, how far from the vehicular use area would be ok. Decision to be made later.

ADJOURNMENT:

The meeting was adjourned at  8:25 p.m.
