Assistant Chief Riley began his fire service career in 1990, first with Holmes Fire District 1 in Millersburg (OH), and then with the City of Green (OH).  He has progressed through the ranks and began service as the Operations Chief with Marysville in 2007.  He holds a Bachelors Degree with honors in Fire and Safety Engineering, and an Associates Degree with honors in Fire Science from the University of Cincinnati.  He is a Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Designee and member grade in the Institute of Fire Engineers.  He is currently enrolled in the Executive Fire Officer Program through the National Fire Academy.  Chief Riley holds State of Ohio certifications as Firefighter II, Paramedic, Fire Safety Inspector, Fire and EMS Instructor.  He is active with the Union County Chapter of Rotary International.  He believes strongly in community service and sees that as a strong commitment by the personnel of City of Marysville Division of Fire.
