Assistant City Engineer

City of Marysville, Ohio; voted “Best Hometown 2006” by Ohio Magazine, Union County seat (4th fastest growing county in Ohio), is seeking a dedicated, energetic professional to fill the role of Assistant City Engineer. This position performs as a technical expert in the engineering field as well as a manager/supervisor of department personnel and resources.  Duties include coordinating all subdivision planning and activities of private contractors involved in building homes and commercial projects, supervision of inspection services, and managing the City’s GIS/CAD programs.  Special consideration is given to candidates with water, wastewater and stormwater systems expertise/experience.  The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Civil preferred, Masters degree is a plus); have a minimum of 3 years experience in surveying, drafting, and construction inspection; 2 years field experience dealing with civil engineering design and subdivisions with some drafting experience; and a minimum of 3 years experience with AutoCAD.  Must possess a license to practice as a registered Professional Engineer (PE) issued by the State of Ohio and have a valid Ohio driver’s license.  The annual salary is $55,000-$70,000 with an excellent benefit package including City pick-up of 8.5% of OPERS employee share.
