City Finance Director
City of Marysville, Ohio; voted “Best Hometown 2006” by Ohio Magazine, Union
County seat (4th fastest growing county in Ohio), is seeking a
dedicated professional/leader to fill the role of City Finance Director. The
primary focus of this position is to provide leadership, direction and
motivation to the Finance Department staff and direct the accounting, and
financial services for the City. The
successful candidate will provide technical support to the Mayor, City Council,
and City Manager, including the interpretation and application of policies and
procedures, developing recommendations regarding financial alternatives, and
interpretations of legislated changes as they affect assigned functions. Candidates must have a Bachelor degree in
business administration, finance, or related field (Master’s degree and
certification in accounting – CPA is preferred); significant management and/or
supervisory experience is required (eight years preferred) with at least three
years at the senior management level, and prior experience in municipal finance
management is a plus. The annual salary
is $75,000-$90,000 depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications, and
an excellent benefits package including city pick-up of 8.5% of PERS employee
