Troopers
coordinate with local law enforcement officers to apprehend two
people suspected of theft at local Wal-Mart |
|
|
|
Troopers from the Ohio
State Highway Patrol's Marysville Post coordinated efforts with
local deputies and police officers to apprehend and charge a man
and a woman suspected of theft at a Marysville Wal-Mart store.
Jessica N. Storm, 31, and
Frank D. Emberton II, 32 both of Dayton, are suspects in a theft
of merchandise valued at more than $4,500.00 from the Wal-Mart
store located at 15785 East U.S. Route 36 in Marysville.
At 1:03 a.m. yesterday, a
trooper stopped a 1987 Chevrolet Caprice station wagon,
driven by Storm, on U.S. Route 33 eastbound at milepost 20, in
Union County, for failure to drive within marked lanes and speed
over the limit. The trooper observed indications of
criminal behavior and later arrested Storm for driving under
suspension. The Union County Sheriff's Office and Officers
from the Marysville Police Department worked together to
determine that items located in the vehicle were stolen from the
Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart confirmed that the items were
stolen from their location earlier.
Both Storm and Emberton
were taken into custody and officers from the Marysville Police
Department have charged both with theft, a felony of the 5th
degree, as well as Possession of Criminal Tools, a felony of the
4th degree. If convicted, both could face 2 1/2 years in
prison and a fine up to $7,500.00.
