Officer Nist has been a Marysville Police Officer for over 10 years.  He started the canine unit in 1998 with donations from The Scotts Co., Honda, and various other agencies.

Khan is the Division's second canine.  Khan took over for retired canine, Indi, in July of 2006.  Khan is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois.  He was imported to the U.S. from Slovakia in April of 2006.  He is trained in tracking, evidence location, criminal apprehension, building and area searches, obedience and narcotic detection.

Khan and Officer Nist are a valuable and effective crime fighting tool for the Marysville Division of Police.  Together, they strive to make Marysville a safe community.
