Speed Studies
Speed Study
The Marysville Division of Police routinely receives complaints of vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed in various locations throughout the city. In an attempt to better respond to these concerns, the division works closely with the city engineer's office by strategically placing monitoring devices to accurately record traffic data. This data is then reviewed to determine the appropriate course of action.

If you feel your street is experiencing a high rate of speed or other traffic violations, please email or call the Police Division.

Note: When viewing the summary report, the following terms are used:
  • The 50th percentile means that 50% of the vehicles were traveling at / or below that speed
  • The 85th percentile means that 85% of the vehicles were traveling at / or below that speed
  • The maximum speed is the highest speed recorded from a vehicle during the survey
  • The posted speed is the speed limit posted for that area.
