City Administrator
Responsibilities
The city administrator reports directly to the
mayor and is responsible for implementing the policy directives of the mayor and the
City Council. Additionally, the administrator is the chief administrative officer of city government and is responsible for the areas of strategic planning, financial management, and citywide communication.

About City Administrator Terry Emery
Terry Emery was appointed to the position of City Administrator on May 31, 2011. Prior to joining the City of Marysville team, he held the position of Director of Public Service in Gahanna, Ohio, where he managed engineering, refuse collection, right-of-way management, streets, utilities (water, sewer, and stormwater) and utility aggregation programs. Additional experience includes the position of Director of Public Safety/Service with the City of Greenville, Ohio, where he managed police, fire, engineering, parks and recreation, streets, water, wastewater and refuse collection.
Mr. Emery is a graduate of The Ohio State University. He holds a bachelor's degree in Education and is a member of the Ohio City Management Association and the International City/County Management Association.
