Recreation Programs & Outdoor Education

The City of Marysville facilitates and develops programs, special events, and recreation leagues for everyone to enjoy. Online program and league registration is available through RecDesk.

Junior Golf Tour Series

The City of Marysville Junior Golf Tour Series consists of 6 events in June and July. Each week, golfers play at a different golf course. Participation is open to youth golfers ages 10 to 18.  Golfers may choose to play in some or all of the events.  Registration opens in May 2024.

Summer Skills Series

The Summer Skills Series is a summer-long event that introducing outdoor skills for young community members ages 6 to 17. These Passport Programs focus on recreational activities such as kayaking, fishing, and archery. Each event will touch on safety, equipment, and activity engagement. Registration opens in Spring 2024.

Passport to Fishing

This program provides skills, techniques, and information to allow beginners to start fishing in their community. Participants will complete different stations such as casting, knots and rigging, habitat and handling, and local information. Upon completion, participants will receive a free fishing pole. Registration is required.

Passport to Kayaking

This program will introduce the fundamentals of kayaking. Participants will learn proper paddling and stroke techniques and have the opportunity to practice these new skills in the water. Participants will also learn the basics of water safety, and how to enjoy time out on the open water. Registration is required.

Passport to Archery

Trained instructors will cover the basics of proper archery form and how to have fun safely. The basic fundamentals of archery will be covered, from shot cycle to gear and bows. Participants will be able to handle archery gear, and have the opportunity to practice their new skills at an inflatable archery range.  Registration is required.
