Transparency & Data Sharing Initiative

The Marysville Police Division strives to be as transparent as possible, not only with our crime data, but also with information about the department and its operations.

In 2015, the President's Task Force on 21st Century Policing offered a series of recommendations for how police agencies can promote effective crime reduction while building community trust. One of the pillars of the report focused on the importance of law enforcement agencies establishing a culture of transparency and accountability to build public trust and legitimacy.
