Jerome Township Elevated Storage Tank
The project consists of the following:
Constructing a new composite elevated storage tank with a capacity of 1.5 million gallons. The tank shall be complete in all aspects and include the features shown in the contract documents.
Site work includes the extension of several utilities that are being constructed at an adjacent construction site (Marysville Pump Station #2) as follows:
- Access driveway - including Semi-truck turnaround
- 16-inch waterline
- 120 volt electric service
- Fiberoptic Conduit
- Sanitary sewer from the tank column space
- Natural Gas
Site work drainage to convey stormwater and tank overflow to the south of the site.
The concrete tank column will contain a break room, a restroom, a spare room, and the main floor where the riser and the overflow/drain piping shall be suitably supported. In addition, an OSHA-approved tank access ladder on the interior wall shall allow for the maintenance and inspection.
The Bidding Documents are available online at www.bidexpress.com. The City has adopted the electronic bidding process in an effort to make the bidding process more efficient and cost effective for both the contractor and the City.

All formal bids shall be submitted using the electronic bidding process on Bid Express. All potential bidders must first register on www.bidexpress.com and create an Info Tech Digital ID for free, which is used to digitally sign bids. The creation of Digital IDs/Signatures assures the City knows the creator of the bid (forgery resistance), ensures that nobody can alter a bid (non-repudiation), prevents bid disclosure to unauthorized parties (secrecy) and safeguards that
authorized parties cannot access the bid prior to the public opening (sealing). It can take up to seven (7) business days to process your Digital ID. Please plan accordingly.
Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications, to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders, and complete the Best Bidder Information Form provided.
Bidders shall comply with all statutory requirements in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
All Bids must include payment of wages at prevailing wage rates pursuant to Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Section 4115-15 and shall comply with the provisions, duties and obligations of ORC Section 4115. Further information provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder must deposit with its Bid, a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a bond for an amount of 100% of the Bid if in the form of a Bid Guaranty or in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid if in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit, for and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and pursuant with ORC Section 153.54, 153.57 and 153.571. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety or via the electronic bid bond options available on bidexpress.com.
